Mississauga Climate Action

What is Mississauga Climate Action?

Mississauga Climate Action (MCA) is an organization of concerned and motivated citizens who are taking the initiative to address climate change in a meaningful, realistic and impactful way through cooperative projects and partnerships.

We are ordinary people from all walks of life; parents and grandparents, professionals and workers, students and friends. We represent the diverse community of Mississauga, from First Nations people to new Canadians and everyone in between. We are Mississaugans. We are hard-working citizens who care about our planet and community and want to make a difference.

Our Mission

The Mission of MCA is to act cooperative for urgent climate change solutions.

Climate change leadership is needed at all levels of government, but it is also up to the individuals to do what is necessary to make an impact because governments cannot solve the climate crisis alone. Everybody has a role to play and we all have to do our part.

City Council Vote on Climate Change Action Plan

On December 4, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Mississauga City Council will debate and vote on the draft Climate Change Action Plan.
